Packages & pricing

Where music projects start.

Independent and self-releasing artists

Independent means you are paying for the shoot yourself, with no label or distributor budget behind it.

Service Creative fee from Time Notes
Press shoot £750 Up to 3 hrs One artist, studio or a single location
Release day £1,750 Up to 8 hrs Press, artwork and content shot together
Campaign production Bespoke By brief Concept, crew, styling and locations quoted in full

Press shoots at £750 cover press, streaming profiles and your own channels. Anything running as paid advertising, in print or out of home is licensed separately.

Larger releases, campaigns and anything with motion are quoted against the brief, whoever is paying.

Signed, label-represented or management-funded

Quoted against the brief, the release plan and the usage.

Those are creative fees: pre-production, the shoot, selection, colour finishing and delivery. Production (studio or location hire, hair and make-up, styling, crew, equipment and travel) and usage licensing are quoted on top, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to any figure shown.

Figures above are starting prices for independent and self-releasing artists, and they move with the shape of the job: line-up size, number of looks, locations, travel and how widely the images need to be licensed. If you are signed to a label, or represented by one, get in touch and we will quote the project properly.

Why Tilt Your Head

Creative thinking. Technical execution. Release-ready results.

A fashion and portrait background, and years of work with artists, labels and agencies. We know what a press image has to survive: a magazine grid, a festival poster, a streaming banner and a thumbnail.

From concept to final delivery, we handle the visual process, or work inside your existing management, label or production team.

Most artists book one shoot and then discover they need three: the press image, the cover artwork, and the content that carries the campaign. Planned as one day it costs less and looks like one release. Commissioned in three separate panics, it does not.

How a release shoot runs

One day, a whole campaign.

Press, artwork and content are usually the same shoot. Planned together they cost less and look like one release. Shot separately, they rarely match.

How we work

What actually lands in your inbox.

A music shoot is judged on whether the assets get used. Here is what a release set covers, and what we need from you to plan it.

A press set that actually gets used

Horizontal and vertical crops, a clean frame for listings and something with a point of view for features. Delivered so a press officer can send it on without coming back for another version.

A studio for every body

Everyone is welcome here.

Tilt Your Head is queer-led and has worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ people, women and disabled clients throughout its history.

We understand that being photographed is not a neutral experience for everyone.

Our approach is collaborative. We respect names, pronouns, bodies, boundaries and how you want to be represented. Direction is given without assumptions about gender, masculinity, femininity or how somebody should pose.

Frequently asked questions

The things artists ask first.

What kinds of music work do you shoot?

Press and promo shoots, cover artwork, band and group portraits, EPK and behind the scenes, and short motion shot alongside the stills.

Do you handle hair, make-up and styling?

Yes, on request. We work with hair and make-up artists and stylists we trust, and quote them up front so nothing appears on the invoice as a surprise.

What is included in the quote?

The creative fee covers pre-production, the shoot, selection, colour finishing and delivery. Production and usage licensing are itemised separately so you can see what each part costs.

How does licensing work?

Press and promotional use for the release the shoot was made for is normally included. Wider use, such as paid advertising, billboards, merchandise or a label back catalogue, is licensed separately and quoted before the shoot.

Can you travel to a location?

Yes. We shoot at our Clapton studio or on location, and travel is quoted on top of the creative fee.

How soon will I get the images?

Selects within 48 hours when a release date needs them, and finished files within two weeks. Tell us the deadline when you enquire and you will get an honest answer about whether it is possible.

Do you shoot stills and motion together?

Yes. Short motion, canvas loops and vertical clips are shot alongside the stills, which costs far less than booking a separate day for each.

We are unsigned. Is this out of reach?

Probably not. Tell us the budget you actually have and what the release needs. If we cannot make it work we will say so plainly, rather than quoting something you were never going to book.

Ready to shoot the release?

Tell us the release date, the line-up and what the images need to cover. You will get ideas and a costed quote, not just a day rate.

We reply within one working day
