Model test in London: what the £350 session includes
A model test is the session that argues for you. Digitals record what you look like; a test shows what a client would get if they hired you: how you read straight to camera, in profile, in movement, under different light.
This is the entry point, and for most people it is the right one: enough time to relax, enough setups to leave with images that do different jobs.
What you get
90 minutes in the studio
Up to 3 looks across 2 lighting setups
4 fully retouched images, high-resolution and web-ready
£350, and we are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added
How the session runs
We start by going through everything you have brought and agreeing the three looks. The first setup is always the straightforward one: clean daylight, neutral backdrop, accurate skin tones, because nobody’s first frame of the day is the ambitious idea.
The second setup is where the range comes from. Once you have stopped performing, which takes most people about twenty minutes, we push the direction: different energy, different posture, something with an edge if the book needs one.
You see the images as we go. That feedback loop is the single most useful thing in the room.
Who it suits
New faces who need a first set of images to approach agencies with.
Signed models whose book has looked the same for eighteen months.
Anyone who has been asked for more castings and does not know what is missing.
What to bring
Twice as much as you think. Three looks does not mean three outfits: it means we choose three from everything you bring. Well-fitting basics in solid colours, one thing with structure, something close-fitting so your line is visible, and two pairs of shoes that change the silhouette. There is a fuller checklist in what to bring to a model test.
Add-ons
Hair and make-up can be arranged: tell us in advance. Extra retouched images can be added after the shoot, once you have seen everything, which is usually a better way to decide than guessing beforehand. Commercial licensing is quoted separately where a client needs it.
